The Spain Park High School football team fell 35-10 to Mountain Brook in a Class 6A, Region 6 contest Oct. 1.

Running back Kevron McMillian scored the only touchdown for the Jaguars. Jake Hoffman kicked a 22-yard field goal in the loss.

McMillan scored on a 2-yard touchdown run to give the Jaguars an early 7-0 lead following Hoffman’s extra point with 10:24 remaining in the first quarter.

Mountain Brook outscored Spain Park 35-3 the rest of the way.

Alex Roberson led the Jaguars (2-3, 2-2 in Class 6A, Region 6) with 137 rushing yards on 24 carries. McMillan finished with 70 rushing yards and a touchdown.

Nick Mullens completed 11-of-15 passes for 82 yards. Reid Reinagel caught five passes for 43 yards.

Spain Park will host Vestavia Hills in its next region game Oct. 8.
