Oak Mountain falls to Vestavia Hills

The Oak Mountain High School football team dropped its final Class 6A, Region 6 contest following a 35-3 loss to Vestavia Hills.
Oak Mountain kicker Mitch Mathias scored the only points for the Eagles (1-8 overall, 1-7 in Class 6A, Region 6) with his 33-yard field goal with 4:23 remaining in the third quarter.
Mickey Todd Forrest completed 14-of-21 passes for 121 yards with one interception in the loss.
Oak Mountain closes out the 2010 season Oct. 29 on the road at Pinson Valley.
