Dorothy M. Freeman, age 80, a resident of Alabaster, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 02, 2010. Chapel service will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 6, at Alabaster Church of God with Pastor Ken Stroup, Rev. Robert Barnes and Rev. Melvin Massey officiating. Burial will follow in Shelby Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Friday, Nov. 5, 2010, from 6-8 p.m. at Alabaster Church of God.

Mrs. Freeman is preceded in death by her husband, Jim Edd Freeman and a brother, Samuel Alexander Amerson. Mrs. Freeman is survived by her children, Jimmy Wayne Freeman (Barbara), Nancy Faye Clayton (William), Margaret Garrett Fregoso (Rafael), Dorothy Looman Williams (Robert), Johnny Carlos Freeman (Tammy); 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; brothers, George Raymond Amerson, Lee Roy Amerson, James Wesley Amerson; sisters, Nancy Louella Ray, Emma Lorene “Deana” Tucker, Augusta Webster, Margaret Ann Tucker (Vernon), Shirley Marie Newton (Daniel); and numerous other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
