J.W. Bill Wells, age 70, of Calera passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010.

Mr. Wells is survived by his wife; Virginia Wells of Calera; son; Steven Wells of Calera, brother; Jackie Wells (Jerri) of Maplesville; and two sisters; Peggie Gilreath (Buddy) and Janice Gravelle of Calera.

Services were held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 5, at Amazing Grace Worship Center. Rev. Kevin Blankenship and Rev. Ray Smith officiated. The family received friends at the church from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 4. Burial followed at Shelby Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers were Allen Scoggins, Chris Scoggins, Danny Scoggins, Ben Scoggins, Tim Gilreath and Evan Melton.

The family wants to thank Countryside Hospice, Dr. Gary Howard and Dr. John Farley for their kindness and compassion.
