Chelsea still has road problems

Dear Editor,

I’ve just read “Ravaged Roads” and I am curious why you didn’t point out that in some cases the city of Chelsea, for one, didn’t make sure the bond for the roads was being maintained.

Over two years ago, just before elections I may add, Earl Niven stood right in the middle of Greenbriar Place and promised all the residents that he’d at least get our street patched. This has fallen upon the city because they didn’t ensure the developer still had the bond. Therefore, the bond expired without being collected upon.

Here we are two full years after the elections. I’ve seen the same roads that Earl Niven promised to repair mentioned in your paper and on the local TV news three times, and still no action has been taken to repair our streets.

I can only sit and wait two more years to hopefully get a new mayor in Chelsea that will fix this mess.
