Ida Mae Shaner, age 74, of Montevallo, passed away Saturday, November 20, 2010 at her home.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Bobby Shaner; sons, Ricky Shaner (Vicki), Bobby Shaner (Cathy), James Shaner (Pellie), Jimmy Shaner (Lacey), and Stacey Shaner; daughters, Denise Deshazo, Sheila Ammons (Pedro), Rena Davis (John), and Nicki Shaner; brothers, Clay Skinner and Percy Skinner; sisters, Julie Slaughter (Shine) and Lola “Sister” Champion; grandchildren, Mike, Mitch, Lindsey, Stephen, Jeffery, Chad, Brandon, Bobby Lee, Jason, Amber, Angelica, Dylan, Noah, Dakota, Caleb, Kyle, Breanna, Anna, Devon, Kayla, Latasha, Sophia, Naomi, and Rachel; great-grandchildren, Katrina, Gracie, Joey, Josie, Breanna, Daniel, Maggie, Brailee, and Lizzie. She is also survived by a brother-in-law, Billy Shaner (Carla) and sister-in-law, Carole Capps.

Visitation was held at the home of Mrs. Shaner during the evenings of November 22-23. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Underwood Baptist Church with burial to follow in the adjoining cemetery. She will lie in state one hour prior to the service.
