Mary Nell Morrison, age 86, a resident of Helena, passed away on Friday, Nov. 19, 2010. Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010, at the First Baptist Church of Alabaster with Rev. Mike Byars officiating. Burial will follow in the Alabama National Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at Alabaster First Baptist prior to the service.

Mrs. Morrison worked at the American Red Cross in Alabaster for numerous years and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Alabaster and the American Legion Auxiliary of Alabaster. Mrs. Morrison is preceded in death by her brothers, Paul Honeycutt and Charles Honeycutt and sister, Annie Pearl Armstrong. Mrs. Morrison is survived by her husband, Thomas H. Morrison of Helena; sons, Linton Porter Jr. (Tammy) of Montevallo and Michael Edward Porter (Renee) of Thomasville, Ga.; grandson, Chance Porter of Thomasville, Ga. and granddaughter, Hailey Porter of Thomasville, Ga.
