High school basketball roundup: Shelby County girls remain undefeated

GIRLS

The Shelby County High School girls’ basketball team remained undefeated following a 55-28 win Nov. 29 over Parkway Christian School.

Alexis Lewis led the Wildcats (5-0) with 15 points.

Alysia Perkins added nine points.

Spain Park defeats Ramsay

The Spain Park High School girls’ basketball team picked up a 51-44 win over Ramsay on the road Nov. 29.

Whitney Gulledge led the Jaguars (5-2) with 13 points.

Colby Ryan added 12 points and six rebounds in the win. Ashley Gaston contributed nine points.

Hope Christian defeats Cahawba Christian

The Hope Christian School girls’ basketball team picked up a 37-15 win Nov. 29 over Cahawba Christian Academy.

Christina Jones led the Eagles (2-1) with 12 points.

Melinda Mahan added five points. Hannah Rettig grabbed a team-high four rebounds.

BOYS

Spain Park tops Ramsay

The Spain Park High School boys’ basketball team picked up a 41-36 win over Ramsay on the road Nov. 29.

Rembert MartinĀ  led the Jaguars (4-2) with 13 points.

Mitchell Holt added 11 points.

Shelby County falls to Parkway Christian

The Shelby County High School boys’ basketball team fell 51-46 to Parkway Christian School on the road Nov. 29.

Ty Lollar led the Wildcats (2-1) with 18 points.

Tyler Madison added 17 points in the loss.

Hope Christian defeats Cahawba Christian

The Hope Christian School boys’ basketball team picked up a 37-31 win Nov. 29 over Cahawba Christian Academy.

Pete Thomason led the Eagles (3-0) with 13 points.

Caleb Douglas grabbed a team-high 11 rebounds.
