Jimmy Rodgers Smith, age 71, of Alabaster, passed away Friday, Nov. 26, 2010.  Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Faye Smith; father, Julius Smith; brother, Frankie Smith; and sister, Ailene Rogers.  He is survived by his wife, Mayo Spain Smith; two sons, Jamie F. Smith and Kenny E. Smith; daughter, Sherry Tina Smith Pike; and a niece who is like a daughter, Susan Spain Booth; brother, Varney Smith (Connie); three sisters, Betty Lou Smith (Ross), Bonnie Sue Cox (Basil) and Luvine Wallace (Stenson); nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at Rockco Chapel in Montevallo, on Monday, Nov. 29, 2010 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Donnie Dickens and Rev. Patrick Smith officiating.  Visitation was at the chapel on Sunday evening.  He will be buried at Moores Cemetery.  Rockco Funeral Home, Montevallo directing.  Please share your condolences online at Rockcofuneralhomes.com.
