The Oak Mountain High School and Thompson High School wrestling squads each picked up a win over Spain Park on Dec. 1 in the Over the Mountain Duals.

Six Oak Mountain wrestlers picked up a win as the Eagles recorded a 51-29 win over the Jaguars in the Over the Mountain Duals.

Oak Mountain’s John David Peden earned a pin over the Jaguars’ Jackson Cotney in 1:00 in the 103-pound match. Oak Mountain 125-pounder Jared Godfrey pinned the Jaguars’ Tommie Broadwater in 1:10.

Jacob Parker of Oak Mountain earned a pin in 3:29 in his 130-pound match against Spain Park’s Andres Galinde. The Eagles’ Jacob Darty pinned Dillon Osborne of Spain Park in 45 seconds in the 160-pound match.

Jeff Back of Oak Mountain recorded an 11-5 decision over Blake Daniel of Spain Park in the 171-pound match. The Eagles’ Justin Woodall pinned Spain Park’s Mo Mills in 4:21 in 189-pound action.

Four Spain Park wrestlers earned wins against their Oak Mountain opponents.

The Jaguars’ Conrad Hathcoat picked up a 19-4 technical fall over Manny Allan of Oak Mountain in the 140-pound match. Spain Park’s Marcus Jackson pinned the Eagles’ Sam Jasinski in 3:29 in the 152-pound match.

Kameron RIcks of Spain Park pinned Lloyd Time of Oak Mountain in 1:36 in the 215-pound match. Spain Park heavyweight Emmanuel Cooper pinned the Eagles’ Chris Richmond in three minutes.

Thompson picked up a 61-18 win over Spain Park. Seven Warriors earned a win in the meeting with the Jaguars at the Over the Mountain Duals.

The Warriors’ Matthew Gilson pinned Elijah Krukowski of Spain Park in 1:15 in the 103-pound match. Nick Lowe of Thompson earned a 15-3 major decision over Galinde in the 130-pound match.

Thompson’s Chris Lloyd picked up a 6-0 decision over the Jaguars’ Conrad Hathcoat in the 140-pound match. Thompson 152-pounder Nick Hall earned a pin against Jackson in 2:51.

The Warriors’ Josh Gillaspie pinned Alex Potts of Spain Park in 52 seconds in the 160-pound match. Jesse Masters of Thompson pinned Mills in 54 seconds in 189-pound action.

Thompson heavyweight Jimmy Miller pinned Martin Canales of Spain Park in one minute.

Two Spain Park wrestlers picked up wins against their Thompson foes.

The Jaguars’ Alec Hudson earned a pin against Stanton Costes of Thompson in 1:41 in the 171-pound match. Ricks pinned Thompson’s David Capers in five minutes in 215-pound action.

Thompson also picked up a 60-15 win over Mountain Brook in the Over the Mountain Duals. Ten Warriors earned a win in the match against the Spartans.

Austin Gould, Nick Lowe, John Austin (J.A.) Jones, Josh Gillaspie, Jesse Masters, Jimmy Miller and David Capers each won by pin. Brewer Gilliland, Chris Lloyd and Stanton Costes won by decision.
