The Coosa Valley Academy girls’ basketball team dropped its first game of the season Dec. 1 following a 52-29 loss to visiting Autauga Academy.

Lauren Archer led the Rebels (2-1) with 13 points. Archer also grabbed eight rebounds.

Kaylan Rich added seven points. Jordan Smiley added five points.

Smiley recorded eight boards. Rich finished with six rebounds.

BOYS

The Coosa Valley Academy boys’ basketball team dropped its third consecutive game to open the season Dec. 1 following a 57-54 loss to visiting Autauga Academy.

Sam Bullard led the Rebels (0-3) with 22 points.

Saxxon Grimes added 10 points.
