The Montevallo High School girls’ basketball team defeated visiting Jemison 46-29 in high school basketball action Dec. 8.

Amber Cardwell led the Bulldogs (4-1) with 26 points. Cardwell also grabbed a team-high 21 rebounds to go along with five steals and four assists.

Kiah Smith added six points. Savannah Smith finished with four points, six rebounds and three assists.

Montevallo picks up first win against Jemison

The Montevallo High School boys’ basketball team defeated visiting Jemison 65-42 on Dec. 8.

Rashard Jones led the Bulldogs (1-2) with 17 points.

Garrius Chappell added 13 points. Korey Cunningham contributed 10 points and Landon Goodwin chipped in nine points.
