The Shelby County High School wrestling team dropped matches Dec. 9 against Pinson Valley and host Minor in the Minor Duals.

The Wildcats fell to Pinson Valley, 60-24. Four Shelby County wrestlers won their individual matches against Pinson Valley.

Shelby County 135-pounder Jonathan Perrine pinned L.J. Dawson of Pinson Valley. Nathan Herrington of Shelby County pinned Pinson Valley’s Alex Joiner in the 140-pound match.

The Wildcats’ Chase Weeks pinned Dakota Underwood of Pinson Valley in his 145-pound match. Shelby County heavyweight Jacob Oliver pinned Bart Dial of Pinson Valley.

Shelby County fell to host Minor 53-18 in the dual meet. Three Wildcats won their individual matches against Dora.

Shelby County’s Noah Dorough pinned Jerein Harris of Minor in the 103-pound match. Weeks pinned Nick Holman of Minor in the 145-pound match.

The Wildcats’ Jeffrey Hughes earned a decision over Anthony Taylor of Minor in the 152-pound match.
