Santa will take time away from his preparations at the North Pole on Christmas Eve to visit children and families in Alabaster.

The Alabaster Fire and Rescue Department will escort Saint Nick through every part of the city. Santa will make stops at the red and yellow “Santa Stop” signs spread throughout the city.

Because the schedule is flexible, and may be interrupted by Fire Department emergency calls, the department is encouraging residents to be on the lookout for Santa 30 minutes before or after his scheduled arrival time.

On Christmas Eve, the city will post a link on Cityofalabaster.com tracking Santa’s journey through Alabaster.

1 p.m. – Portsouth, Norwick Forest, Kingwood, Spring Gate and Cedar Grove

1:10 p.m. – Cedar Grove trailer park

1:30 p.m. – Sterling Gate

1:35 p.m. – Woodland Hills

1:45 p.m. – Southwind, Meadowlark, Willow Creek and Willow Point

1:55 p.m. – Northwest Eaglewood and Olde Town

2 p.m. – Chinaberry

2:15 p.m. – Cambridge Pointe phase I, Summerbrook

2:20 p.m. – Knox trailer park

2:25 p.m. – Maylene

2:30 p.m. – Lacey’s Grove

2:35 p.m. – Grande View Gardens
