Gregory “Greg” Pendleton, age 56 and a lifelong resident of Montevallo, passed away Friday, Dec. 17, 2010.  Mr. Pendleton attended the University of Montevallo and graduated in 1977.  He was employed at Lhoist North America, formerly Chemical Lime, for more than 30 years.  He also served on the Montevallo City Council since 2002 and participated on the Montevallo Water Board.

Greg is survived by his parents, Billy H. and Bert Pendleton; wife, Karen Pendleton; and daughter, Anna Pendleton.  He was a member of Montevallo First United Methodist Church.

Visitation was held at Rockco Funeral Home, Montevallo, Sunday, Dec. 19 from 6-8 p.m. and funeral services were at the funeral home on Monday, Dec. 20 at 10 a.m. Rev. Buddy Freeman officiated.  He was buried in Montevallo City Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Montevallo Police Department, 545 Main Street, Montevallo, AL 35115.
