A graveside service celebrating the life of Virginia A. Wallace, age 84, of Columbia was held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 10 in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday evening at the funeral home. The family has entrusted Greenlawn Funeral Home with the arrangements.

Virginia passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010. She was born in Boothton, Ala. to Paul R. Mowery and Thelma Inez Harper Mowery. She was a member of Belmot Baptist Church. Virginia was predeceased by her parents; her husband, James J. Wallace; daughters, Carol E. Franklin and Shirley A. Stewart.

Surviving are her loving daughters, Nora (Don) Havird and Debbie McAbee; a sister, Tommie Harrison; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a host of other loving relatives and friends that will miss her dearly. Greenlawnmemorialparkfh.com.
