Dear Editor,

On behalf of the Vincent Citizens for Safety, I would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for all of the hard work the mayor and town council have put in on behalf of Autumn Drive.

We appreciate all of the time and dedication the mayor and the council put into getting the grant application in before the August deadline and for taking on the responsibility for providing the matching funds, which helped allow the grant to be approved.

This is a great day for the residents that live on Autumn Drive and a victory for the town of Vincent. This proves to the whole community of Vincent that our Mayor Ray McAllister and the town council members, Mary Lee Reynolds, Bridgette Jordan Smith, Ralph Kimble Jr., Johnny Edwards, and Larry King care about their community and the residents.

I can see how much this will improve the town of Vincent and the impact it is going to have on the quality of life for the residents that live on Autumn Drive, family members, friends and workers that have to travel our road, like the mail carrier, garbage service, Vincent water board and most of all school bus and emergency vehicles.

This will be the most recognized and remembered town council and mayor in the history of Vincent for the accomplishments you have made possible in this town during your tenure.

Please rest assured that the Vincent Citizens for Safety will still be working with the town of Vincent to assist with the progress of Autumn Drive as much as possible. VCS maintains its non-profit status and can still hold fundraisers and accept tax-deductible donations on behalf of community improvements.

The residents of Autumn Drive appreciate this more than you will ever know.

Lisa Patterson
