Shelby County public schools announced they will be closed on Monday, Jan. 10 due to inclement weather.

County private schools, including Briarwood Christian School, Coosa Valley Academy, Cornerstone Christian School, Hilltop Montessori School and Kingwood Christian School, will also be closed Monday due to inclement weather.

The University of Montevallo, the University of Alabama-Birmingham and Samford University will also be closed Monday.

Shelby County offices will be closed until noon Monday, Jan. 10.

The Shelby County Commission meeting for Monday morning has been canceled. The meeting will be held at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11.

All state agencies will be closed Monday due to inclement weather.
