The Chelsea High School boys’ basketball team defeated Pell City 66-63 in high school basketball action Jan. 21.

Jake Ganus led the Hornets (11-12) with a game-high 23 points.

D.D. Washington added 16 points. D.J. Washington contributed 12 points in the victory.

GIRLS

The Chelsea High School girls’ basketball team fell to Pell City 53-36 in high school basketball action Jan. 21.

Allie Luster led the Hornets (7-15) with 14 points.

Amanda Mock contributed nine points and a team-high 10 rebounds in the defeat.
