The Spain Park High School wrestling team defeated Shades Valley 72-0 in a dual meet Jan. 20.

Eleven Jaguars won their individual matches by forfeit, including 103-pounder Jackson Cotney, 125-pounder Andres Galindo, 125-pounder Connor Whatley, 140-pounder Brandon Stanley, 145-pounder Marcus Jackson, 152-pounder Dillon Osborne, 160-pounder Alex Potts, 189-pounder Mo Mills, 215-pounder Kameron Ricks and heavyweight Emmanuel Cooper.

Two Spain Park wrestlers defeated their Oak Grove opponents.

The Jaguars’ Conrad Hathcoat pinned D.J. Sterling of Shades Valley in 53 seconds in the 135-pound match. Alec Hudson of Spain Park pinned Gabe Cooper of Shades Valley in 1:27 in the 171-pound match.

Spain Park fell to Hayden 44-33 in the dual meet. Six Jaguars won their individual matches against Hayden.

Whatley pinned Hayden’s Blake Jackson in 3:58 in the 125-pound match. Osborne pinned Robert Taylor of Hayden in 2:48 in the 152-pound match.

Potts earned a pin in 26 seconds against Hayden’s Joseph Love in the 160-pound match. Blake Daniel of Spain Park pinned Josh Estes of Hayden in 59 seconds in the 171-pound match.

Ricks earned a 11-7 decision over Adam Roberts of Hayden in the 215-pound match. Cooper won his heavyweight match by forfeit.
