The Spain Park High School girls’ basketball team defeated Homewood 64-33 in a Class 6A, Area 12 contest Jan. 25.

Colby Ryan led the Jaguars with 16 points. Ryan also grabbed five rebounds.

Ashley Gaston added 15 points and four rebounds. Jessica Freeman chipped in 10 points and four boards.

Kathryn Boswell contributed eight points and a team-high eight rebounds. Jasmine Moore and Whitney Gulledge finished with five points each. Tori Morgan finished with four points and six rebounds.

BOYS

The Spain Park High School boys’ basketball team fell to Homewood 67-50 in a Class 6A, Area 12 contest Jan. 25.

Rembert Martin led the Jaguars (18-8 overall, 4-2 in Class 6A, Area 12) with 12 points.

Robby Prater added 10 points in the defeat.
