Hope Christian drops conference game against T.H.E.

The Hope Christian School boys’ basketball team fell to the Tuscaloosa Home Educators 49-35 in an Alabama Christian Sports Conference contest Jan. 25.

Blake Thomas and Pete Thomason led the Eagles (9-9 overall, 4-8 in Alabama Christian Sports Conference) with 10 points each.

Caleb Douglas added five points, four steals and a team-high six rebounds. Seth Burnham, who grabbed five rebounds, and Terrence Moore contributed four points each. Moore also finished with four rebounds, four steals and three assists.

Brandon Fuller finished with two points.

GIRLS

The Hope Christian School girls’ basketball team defeated the Tuscaloosa Home Educators 24-22 in an Alabama Christian Sports Conference contest Jan. 25.

Christina Jones led the Eagles with 13 points. Karlee Tate added five points and two assists to go along with a team-high six rebounds.

Joelle Reed, Erin Douglas and Brooke Machen finished with two points each. Melinda Mahan grabbed five rebounds. Douglas and Reed grabbed three rebounds each.
