The Thompson High School wrestling team defeated Spain Park 52-16 in a dual meet between the two teams Jan. 25.

Nine Warriors won their individual matches against the Jaguars.

Conner Gilson of Thompson pinned Jackson Cotney of Spain Park in 17 seconds in the 103-pound match. The Warriors’ Cody McDanal pinned Andres Galindo of Spain Park in 2:57 in the 119-pound match.

Thompson’s Hayden Franklin earned a 13-3 major decision over Spain Park’s Connor Whatley in the 130-pound match. Wil Fondren of Thompson pinned Marcus Jackson of Spain Park in 28 seconds in the 145-pound match.

The Warriors’ Nick Hall pinned Spain Park’s Conner Tinney in 1:43 in the 152-pound match. Shane Evans of Thompson pinned the Jaguars’ Alec Hudson in 1:26 in the 171-pound match.

Thompson’s Jesse Masters pinned Kameron Ricks of Spain Park in 5:35 in the 215-pound match. Nick Lowe won the 135-pound match by forfeit. Chris Lloyd won the 140-pound match by forfeit.

Clint Milligan of Thompson earned a 12-6 decision over Alex Potts of Spain Park in a 152-pound exhibition match.

Four Spain Park wrestlers won their individual matches against Thompson.

Tommy Bostany of Spain Park earned a 4-2 decision over DeMario Haynes of Thompson in the 125-pound match. The Jaguars’ Blake Daniel earned an 8-5 decision over Cahman Holder of Thompson in the 160-pound match.

Mo Mills of Spain Park pinned Thompson’s Stanton Costes in 1:59 in the 189-pound match. Spain Park heavyweight Emmanuel Cooper earned a 11-1 major decision over Jack Scott of Thompson.

Thompson defeated Minor 60-18 at the dual meet. Ten Warriors won their individual matches against Minor.

Thompson’s Clay Anthony pinned Jerein Harris of Minor in the 103-pound match. The Warriors’ Reed Jacks pinned Minor’s Hunter Parker in the 119-pound match.

Hunter Gatlin of Thompson earned a 10-8 decision over Brandon Tamburelli of Minor in the 125-pound match. The Warriors’ Brewer Gilliland pinned Nick Holman of Minor in the 135-pound match.

Jesse Masters of Thompson pinned Minor’s Tre King in the 189-pound match. The Warriors’ Stanton Costes pinned Clyde Baskin of Minor in the 215-pound match.

Austin Gould of Thompson won by forfeit in 112-pound match. Cody Alabarado of Thompson won the 140-pound match by forfeit.

The Warriors’ John Austin (J.A.) Jones won his 145-pound match by forfeit. Trey Berryhill of Thompson won the 152-pound match by forfeit.

Spain Park defeated Minor 42-30 at the dual meet. Eight Jaguars won their individual matches against Minor.

Whatley earned a 9-7 decision over Brad Tamburelli of Minor in the 130-pound match. Daniel pinned Minor’s Jonathan Hagler in 4:32 in the 160-pound match.

Mills pinned Tre King of Minor in 3:17 in the 189-pound match.

Ricks pinned Clyde Baskins of Minor in 17 seconds in the 215-pound match. Cooper earned an 8-3 decision over Tyler Garner of Minor in the heavyweight match.

Bostany won the 125-pound match by forfeit. Jackson won the 145-pound match by forfeit. Dillon Osborne of Spain Park won the 152-pound match by forfeit.
