Charles F. Lovelady, age 77, of Hayden went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 27, 2011. He proudly served with the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Charlie thoroughly loved the time he spent with family and friends, singing with the gospel group “The Harvesters”.

He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Vera Elizabeth; son, Chuck Lovelady (Yvonne); daughters, Dana Lovelady and Alisa Woods (Tom); stepson, Kealem Ogletree (Trisha); a number of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; two sisters; and a host of loving extended family members and friends.

Mr. Lovelady’s funeral service will be held on Monday, January 31 at Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m. Burial to follow at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery, 1660 Providence Road, Ragland. Visitation will be on Sunday, January 30 from 6-8 p.m in the chapel. Bro. Kyle Ellison and Bro. Micky Palmer will be officiating.
