Memorial service for Melvin Turquitt, age 52, of Shelby will be 4 p.m., Sunday, January 30, 2011 at Bolton Funeral Home, Columbiana with Rev. Tom Minor officiating. Family will receive friends from 2:30-4 p.m. prior to the service.

Mr. Turquitt, who passed away on Friday, January 28, 2011 at a local hospital, was born on January 23, 1959.

He is survived by his wife, Marcia Turquitt; sons, Seth Turquitt and Dane Turquitt; grandson, Tyler Turquitt; mother, Vivian Turquitt; sisters, Bonnie Marquess, Becky Mitchell (Gene), Janice Thrash and Katie Lutz (Luther); brother, David Turquitt; and numerous other family and friends.
