The Shelby County High School boys’ basketball team defeated Tarrant 72-56 in high school basketball action Jan. 28.

Tyler Madison led the Wildcats (10-12) with 17 points. Madison also grabbed 10 rebounds to finish with a double-double.

Jonathan Pennington added 15 points in the victory.

GIRLS

The Shelby County High School girls’ basketball team defeated Tarrant 40-21 in high school basketball action Jan. 28.

Alysia Perkins led the Wildcats (16-5) with 18 points.

Alexis Lewis chipped in eight points. Hallie Brown contributed seven points in the victory.
