The Spain Park High School girls’ basketball team fell to Ramsay 54-53 in high school basketball action Jan. 28.

Ramsay’s Kiera Williams drained a 3-pointer with eight seconds remaining to lift the Rams over the Jaguars.

Whitney Gulledge led Spain Park (15-13) with 12 points.

Tori Morgan added 11 points. Gulledge and Morgan grabbed a team-high six rebounds each.

Jessica Freeman chipped in nine points and five rebounds. Kathryn Boswell contributed eight points. Ashley Gaston finished with five points.

Colby Ryan finished with four points. Jasmine Moore finished with one point. Kelsie Williams grabbed five rebounds.

Ramsay trailed by double digits for most of the fourth quarter before making a run in the last three minutes to top the Jaguars.

Spain Park had an opportunity to win the game or at least send it into overtime when Morgan was fouled at the buzzer in regulation. However, Morgan missed both free throws and Ramsay escaped with a one-point victory.
