Laura Ray Woodard, a resident of Birmingham, formerly a longtime resident of Columbiana, died on Saturday, January 29, 2011. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 5 at Bolton Funeral Home, Columbiana with Bro. Mike Miller officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011 from 9:30-11 a.m. prior to service time. Burial will be in Bay Springs Cemetery.

Mrs. Woodard was a devoted Christian and a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Columbiana.

She volunteered for over 20 years for the Shelby Hospital Auxiliary and did some missionary work. Mrs. Woodard was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Elgin Woodard and daughter, June Nelson. Mrs. Woodard is survived by her daughters, Pamela Ray Lawrence (Joe) and Shelby Diane Daurie (David); sons, Roy Wayne Woodard (Martha), Ronnie Woodard (Margaret) and Gerald Noland (Billie); 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; and other family and friends.
