George E. Walker, 76, of Cropwell passed away on January 30, 2011.

He is survived by his three daughters, Teri Wills (Johnny Sr.), Nicki Masterson (Grady) and Wanda Snyder (John); three brothers, Dave Walker, Charles Walker and Robert Walker; two sisters, Barbara Ellen Adams and Gail Rowe; seven grandchildren, Shannon Engle, Johnny “Jay” Wills, Jr., Christopher Walker Wills, Sr., Lewis Ben Walker III, Nicholas Vann Walker, Kayla Snyder and John William Snyder; and six great-grandchildren, Ryan Engle, Hannah Engle, Johnny Wills III, Christopher Walker Wills, Jr., Elise Walker and Lucas Walker.

Visitation was held on Feb. 1 from 6-9 p.m. at Kilgroe Funeral Home. Funeral service was held on Feb. 2 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Pell City, with Rev. Steve Thomas and Dr. John Thweatt officiating. The body lay in state from 1-2 p.m. at the church. Interment was held in Valley Hill Memorial Cemetery.
