The Chelsea High School boys’ basketball team fell to Sylacauga 75-70 in a Class 5A, Area 7 contest Feb. 1.

D.D. Washington led the Hornets (11-16 overall, 1-7 in Class 5A, Area 7) with 21 points.

Jake Ganus added 16 points. D.J. Washington chipped in 15 points.

GIRLS

The Chelsea High School girls’ basketball team fell to Sylacauga 54-45 in a Class 5A, Area 7 contest Feb. 1.

Amanda Mock led the Hornets (8-18 overall, 1-7 in Class 5A, Area 7) with 17 points.

Perri Lambert chipped in 10 points in the defeat.
