The Evangel Christian School girls’ basketball team defeated Cullman Christian School 58-26 in high school basketball action Feb. 1.

Abby Letson paced the Lightning (16-0) with 21 points, nine rebounds, four assists and eight steals.  Katherine Stockman had 16 points, five rebounds and five steals. Rainey Ketcham added eight points, five assists and six steals.

The Lightning, who won the Alabama Christian Sports Conference regular season championship for the second consecutive season, used a stifling full-court press to jump out to a 28-8 halftime lead and coasted to the victory in the second half.

Evangel Christian will play in the ACSC state tournament Feb. 11-12 at Samford University.
