The Chelsea High School boys’ basketball team defeated Jemison 59-43 in high school basketball action Feb. 4.

D.D. Washington led the Hornets (12-15) with 23 points. Washington also grabbed a team-high 13 rebounds.

D.J. Washington added 12 points. Jake Ganus contributed 11 points, eight rebounds and a team-high eight assists.

GIRLS

The Chelsea High School girls’ basketball team defeated Jemison 56-34 in high school basketball action Feb. 4.

Amanda Mock led the Hornets (9-18) with 16 points. Mock also grabbed a team-high 14 rebounds.

Lauren Swee chipped in 15 points. Sydney Hobson contributed 10 points in the victory.
