The Coosa Valley Academy girls’ basketball team defeated Jackson Academy 56-29 on Feb. 4 to advance to the Alabama Independent Schools Association Class 1A, Region 2 tournament championship game.

Lauren Archer led the Rebels (16-2) with 18 points. Archer also grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds.

Amelia Ripley chipped in 12 points in the victory.
