Hazel Lois Jones Pope, 81, of Birmingham passed away Thursday, February 3, 2011 at her home in Montevallo. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Worth Pope McGilvray; son-in-law, Paul; and four granddaughters, Jennifer Alexander, Mary Beth O’Neal, Annie McGilvray and Shelby McGilvray. She was preceded in death by her parents, Worth and Sybil Jones and a sister, Carolyn Worth Jones Martin.

Visitation will be held Monday, February 7, 2011 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 374 Highway 24, Montevallo. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday from Adam’s Chapel Cemetery near Clayton with Sgt. Andy Bailey officiating. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
