NORTH SHELBY — Spain Park High School senior Colby Ryan hit a 3-pointer with seven seconds remaining in overtime, her second game-winning shot this season, to lift the Jaguars to 36-33 win on the road at Oak Mountain in high school basketball action Feb. 4.

Ryan, who hit a game-winning shot against Thompson last month, finished with six points in the victory.

Jessica Freeman led Spain Park (17-13) with 13 points. Freeman also grabbed three rebounds.

Whitney Gulledge added eight points and a team-high three steals. Ashley Gaston finished with seven points and three rebounds.

Jasmine Moore, who grabbed a team-high four rebounds, and Kathryn Boswell chipped in one point each.

Hannah Griffin led Oak Mountain (17-9) with 14 points on 4-of-6 shooting from 3-point range. Griffin also grabbed five rebounds.

Mackenzie Garmany added 11 points and three rebounds. M.K. Shealy chipped in four points and four rebounds. Meagan McDanal contributed three points.

Madison Pierce finished with one point and a team-high five rebounds.

Garmany was fouled on a drive to the basket with 1:26 and hit 1-of-2 free throws to tie the game at 30-30 late in the fourth quarter.

Following 3-pointers by Freeman and Garmany in overtime, Ryan drained the game-winner on the Jaguars’ final possession. Griffin’s 3-point attempt at the buzzer was off the mark.
