Martha J. Brasher, age 83, a resident of Shelby, died on Friday, February 4, 2011. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, February 7, 2011, at First Baptist Church of Shelby with Rev. Joel Miller and Rev. Howard Brasher officiating. Burial will follow in Shelby Garden of Rest. Bolton Funeral Home of Columbiana is directing. Family will receive friends 1-2 p.m. prior to the service at the church.

Mrs. Brasher is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas H. Brasher. She is survived by her daughters, Diana Smith and Karen Sweeney (Dennis); grandchildren, John D. Rowland, III, Bradley Thomas Rowland (Brandy) and Langley Rushton Kyle (Jeff); great-grandchildren, Amber Rowland and Courtney Rowland; and a great-granddaughter due March 6, 2011; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
