Arlee Boothe, age 71, of Alabaster passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2011 in Shelby Baptist Medical Center. He was born in Alabama on September 3, 1939, the son of Mr. Herman and Grace Holsomback Boothe.

Arlee is predeceased by his parents, Mr. Herman and Mrs. Grace Boothe; his brother, Herman Boothe, Jr.; and his sister, Billie Boothe.

Arlee is survived by his daughter, Leslie Bishop (Robert); sons, Wade Boothe (Renee) and James O. Boothe, Jr.; sisters, Brenda K. Hyde and Christine Hyde (Edmond); grandchildren, Allissa Boothe, Austin Boothe and Brandon Bishop; step-daughters, Autumn Trott and Nichole Trott.

Visitation was held on Saturday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Charter Funeral Home. Funeral services were held on Sunday, Feb. 6, 2011 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Reverend Steve Cannon and Dr. Hal Warren officiated at the services. Burial was in Macedonia Cemetery in Pea Ridge in Shelby County. Arrangements were under the direction of Charter Funeral Home in Calera.
