Mr. and Mrs. Rickey and Debra Gilliland of Hoover are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Lacy, to Mr. Brent Lazenby.

Lacy is the granddaughter of Mrs. Marinel Crump and the late Charles A. Crump of Hoover and Mrs. Imogene Gilliland the late Ralph Gilliland of Maylene. She graduated from Hoover High School in 2000, and proceeded to graduate from the University of Alabama with a degree in human environmental science in 2004.

Brent is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom and Jane Lazenby of Birmingham. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Tom and Louise Lazenby of Vestavia Hills. Brent graduated from Briarwood Christian Academy in 2000, and graduated from Auburn University with a degree in business in 2005. He is currently employed in Hoover.

The wedding will take place on Feb. 26, 2011.
