The Oak Mountain High School girls’ tennis team opened its season with a 9-0 loss to Mountain Brook in its season-opening match Feb. 8.

The Eagles (0-1) dropped all six singles’ matches and all three doubles’ matches.

Oak Mountain’s Katie Gould dropped the No. 1 singles’ match 10-1 to Sarah Bowran of Mountain Brook. Ashley Ochsenhirt of Oak Mountain fell in the No. 2 singles’ match 10-6 to Carlee Petro of Mountain Brook.

Rian Imwalle of Oak Mountain dropped the No. 3 singles’ match 10-1 to Elizabeth Lucas of Mountain Brook. Oak Mountain’s Samantha Frederick fell in the No. 4 singles’ match 10-2 to Mountain Brook’s Lauren Douglas Cohen.

Anna Manning of Oak Mountain fell in the No. 5 singles’ match 10-3 to Mountain Brook’s Farris Ann Luce. Marty Catherine Touliatos of Oak Mountain dropped the No. 6 singles’ match 8-2 to Sara Cohen of Mountain Brook.

Laurel Reeves of Oak Mountain dropped an exhibition singles’ match 8-1 to Mary Martha Grizzle of Mountain Brook.

Gould and Oschenhirt dropped the No. 1 doubles’ match 10-2 to Bowran and Petro. Imwalle and Frederick fell in the No. 2 doubles’ match 10-0 to Lucas and Luce.

Manning and Carter Tomlinson of Oak Mountain fell to Douglas and Cohen 10-4 in the No. 3 doubles’ match.

Touliatos and Eunyoung Jo of Oak Mountain dropped an exhibition doubles’ match 8-6 to Sydney Newton and Madeline Lindsey of Mountain Brook. Nicky Moon and Ana Ospina of Oak Mountain provided the lone win for the Eagles with an 8-6 win over Hayden Thomas and Gracie Hawkins of Mountain Brook in an exhibition doubles’ match.

Oak Mountain’s Thomas Mason dropped a singles’ match 8-0 to Loris Orsolini of Mountain Brook. Hunter Dodson of Oak Mountain fell to Mountain Brook’s Eric Buchalter 8-1 in a singles’ match.

Mark Newton of Oak Mountain fell to Mountain Brook’s Andrea Orsolini 8-2 in a singles’ match. Andriy Naauhust of Oak Mountain dropped a singles’ match 8-1 to Jared Cohen of Mountain Brook.

Touliatos and Ehlers dropped a doubles’ match 8-0 against Lucas and Carter. Mason and Newton fell 8-0 in a doubles’ match to Loris Orsolini and Buchalter.

Dodson and Naauhust fell to Andrea Orsolini and Jacob Weinaker 8-1 in a doubles’ match.
