The Montevallo High School girls’ basketball team fell to Greensboro 60-43 in the Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 3A, 7 tournament championship game Feb. 12.

The Bulldogs (15-10) will face Sumter County on the road in the sub-region round of the Class 3A playoffs Feb. 17 at 7 p.m.

Amber Cardwell led Montevallo with 18 points. Cardwell, who was named to the Class 3A, Area 7 all-tournament team, grabbed 11 rebounds finish with a double-double. while

Savannah Smith also made the all-tournament team after scoring seven points and dishing out three assists in the area championship game. Savannah Upton chipped in nine points. Mallory Anderson added eight points and 10 rebounds.
