The Calera High School boys’ basketball team fell on the road at Midfield 73-53 in the Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 4A, Area 8 tournament championship game Feb. 14.

Deondre Haynes and Titus Adams led Calera (21-8) with 11 points each in the area tournament championship game.

Midfield outscored the Eagles in each quarter in the title game. The Patriots jumped out to a 32-26 lead at halftime and put the game away by outscoring Calera 24-15 in the third quarter.

Calera will travel to the Livingston in a sub-region contest in the Class 4A playoffs Feb. 18 at 7 p.m.
