The Oak Mountain High School boys’ tennis team fell to Vestavia Hills 8-1 in a match Feb. 14.

The Eagles (0-2) dropped five of the six singles’ matches and all three doubles’ matches against Vestavia Hills.

Andriy Naauhust of Oak Mountain defeated Jake Bivin of Vestavia Hills 10-6 in the No. 5 singles’ match for the Eagles’ lone victory.

Kyle Ehlers of Oak Mountain fell to Jeffrey Holcombe of Vestavia Hills 10-2 in the No. 1 singles’ match. The Eagles’ Thomas Mason fell to Peter Inge of Vestavia Hills 10-0 in the No. 2 singles’ match.

Hunter Dodson of Oak Mountain fell to Ziqi Wang of Vestavia Hills 10-0 in the No. 3 singles’ match. Oak Mountain’s Jake Marinelli fell to John Morson of Vestavia Hills 10-2 in the No. 4 singles’ match.

Jay Holton of Oak Mountain fell to Jack Rayburn of Vestavia Hills 10-2 in the No. 6 singles’ match.

Dodson and Ehlers fell to Holcombe and Wang 10-0 in the No. 1 doubles’ match. Mason and Marinelli fell 10-1 to Inge and Leo Richard of Vestavia Hills in the No. 2 doubles’ match.

Holton and Naauhust fell to Morson and Jack Patton of Vestavia Hills in the No. 3 doubles’ match.
