Oak Mountain drops tennis match against Vestavia Hills

The Oak Mountain High School girls’ tennis team dropped its match with Vestavia Hills 7-2 in a high school tennis match Feb. 17.

The Eagles won two doubles’ matches against Vestavia Hills.

Ashley Ochsenhirt and Samantha Frederick of Oak Mountain defeated Hannah Shunnarah and Katherine Shunnarah of Vestavia Hills 10-7 in the No. 2 doubles’ match. The Eagles’ Anna Manning and Mary Catherine Touliatos defeated Stephanie Sorrell and Sara Lawson of Vestavia Hills 11-10 in the No. 3 doubles’ match.

Katie Gould of Oak Mountain dropped the No. 1 singles’ match 8-0 to Lauren Levant of Vestavia Hills. Ochsenhirt lost the No. 2 singles’ match Mary Coleman Allen of Vestavia Hills in the No. 2 singles’ match.

Rian Imwalle of Oak Mountain dropped the No. 3 singles’ match to Avery King of Vestavia Hills 8-0 in the No. 3 singles’ match. Frederick fell to Emily Crawford of Vestavia Hills 8-4 in the No. 4 singles’ match.

Manning fell to Hallie Nelson of Vestavia Hills 8-1 in the No. 5 singles’ match. Carter Tomlinson of Oak Mountain dropped the No. 6 singles’ match to Kristen Romano 8-3 in the No. 6 singles’ match.

Eunyoung Jo and Nicky Moon of Oak Mountain dropped their exhibition doubles’ match 10-3 against Vestavia Hills.
