Paul “Pete” White, Sr.

Columbiana

Paul “Pete” White, Sr., age 87, of Columbiana passed away on Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011, in Shelby Baptist Medical Center. Pete was born in Alabama on April 19, 1923, the son to Jim Pruitt White and R. Belle Etress White.

Survivors include his loving wife of 69 years, Vaudeane Horton White; sons, Paul White, Jr. (Linda), Greg White (Lesia), Mark White and Tim White (Lori); daughter, Linda Dean Castillo (Fernando); brother, Homer White; sisters, Willodean Vaughn and Sally Belle Shoemaker. Also, he is survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2011. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday. Both services held at Charter Funeral Home. Brother Waymon Stricklin officiated. Burial was in Summer Hill Cemetery on Highway 25 in Columbiana.
