Randy and Lee Darden of Vincent are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Michelle, to Mr. Grant Cook.

Michelle is the granddaughter of Anne Hazlegrove and the late Leven Hazlegrove of Homewood. She graduated from Vincent High School in 2007 and currently attends Samford University, pursuing a degree in marketing and social entrepreneurship.

Grant is the son of Dexture and Connie Cook of Pell City. He is the grandson of Mary Ann Cook and the late Edwin Cook of Pell City. He graduated from Pell City High School in 2007 and is currently studying history and literature at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

The wedding will be an event of September 4, 2011.
