The Spain Park High School baseball team defeated Gardendale 10-2 in high school baseball action Feb. 24.

Mikey White led the Jaguars (3-0) at the plate by going 2-for-4 with four RBIs and four runs scored.

Charlie McPherson finished 2-for-4 with three RBIs. Paul Angel went 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored.

Chris Ellis finished 1-for-3. Marks Abernathy went 1-for-2 with a run scored.

Austin Walker finished 1-for-1 with a run scored.

Colton Freeman picked up the win on the mound after giving up one earned run on one hit with eight strikeouts and five walks in 2 2/3 innings.

Three Jaguars pitched in relief, including Hunter Hall, who gave up one unearned run on five hits with five strikeouts in two innings.

Austin Veteto struck out one batter in 1 1/3 innings. Justin Wadsworth finished the game by walking two batters with one strikeout in one inning.
