The Westminster School at Oak Mountain boys’ soccer team defeated Elmore County 3-0 in its first road match of the season Feb. 24.

Drew Parker, Garrett Smith and Daniel Richardson led the Knights (3-0) with one goal each.

Parker scored the first goal for Westminster in the 25th minute off an assist from Smith to give the Knights a 1-0 lead.

Smith added the Knights’ second goal shortly thereafter to push Westminster’s lead to 2-0. Richardson scored the final goal, unassisted, in the 60th minute of the contest.

Westminster goalkeeper Jake Doggett, who has allowed only two goals in three matches, posted his first shutout of the season.
