Indian Springs sweeps doubleheader with Holy Family

The Indian Springs School baseball team pounded Holy Family Catholic School 20-0 and 17-0 in a doubleheader in high school baseball action Feb. 26.

Indian Springs won the first game 20-0.

Jake O’Malley led Indian Springs (4-1) at the plate as he finished 2-for-3 with two RBIs.

Jake Martin went 2-for-2 with a double and two RBIs. Stephen Himic finished 1-for-2 with a double and two RBIs.

Joseph Simonetti picked up the win on the mound after pitching a two-hit shutout with 12 strikeouts and two walks in a five-inning complete game.

Indian Springs swept the series with a 17-0 win in the second game.

Martin led Indian Springs at the plate as he went 2-for-2 with a home run and three RBIs.

Simonetti finished 2-for-2 with two triples and three RBIs. Stewart Lewis went 2-for-2 with two doubles and an RBI.

David Busby picked up the win on the mound after striking out two batters in two no-hit innings.
