The Oak Mountain High School softball team defeated Prattville 4-3 in the championship game of its season-opening tournament Feb. 26 at Benjamin Russell High School.

The Eagles (5-1) defeated Prattville twice, host Benjamin Russell twice and Alabama Christian Academy during the two-day tournament. The Eagles’ lone defeat came against Auburn.

Oak Mountain edged Prattville in the championship game in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Hannah Griffin led off the inning with a infield single and came home on a hit by Maddie Ridgeway.
