Respect real estate agents’ time, costs

Dear Editor,

Times are tough in the real estate world and have been for a couple of years, but there seems to be little or no loyalty to agents from clients these days.

Times are even tougher for real estate agents now due to the high cost of fees, licenses, continuing education, gasoline and all the other costs involved in doing our job well.

Please help us to remind people that using agents as their pastime is very costly and also takes the agents away from their families.

If agents work with people for several weeks or months looking at homes or listing their home, give them the same respect or treatment that they would want if the shoe was on the other foot.

We are strictly a commission-based business and don’t make a penny unless we make a sale, so we work very hard to do just that!

If everyone would just follow the Golden Rule to “do unto others as you would have them do unto you,” it would be a win-win for everyone.
